What is the ce-34335-8 issue?

If this article has attracted your attention, it means that you have received the message “No hard disk was found in your PS4”. It sounds ominous and even frightening. But it is not all that bad! And this article will tell you what it means and also give practical advice on how to eliminate the "cannot start the PS4" error.

Possible reasons why you cannot start the PS4

Quite often, the reason for what is happening lies in the repeated change of hard drives in the console. In this case, it may be:

  • a disk connection failure or a loose power socket
  • system disk failure or bad sectors
  • processor damage

One way or another, you need to do something to get rid of the “cannot access system storage on PS4” error.

Method 1. Use the official advice

On the official website for the PS4, you will be advised to check for the correct connections to the hard drive. This action should only be done when the set-top box is disconnected from the network. All instructions for proper installation and detaching the hard drive also come from the official PS4 website.

Method 2. Restore the data first

You can remove the hard drive from your PS4 and connect it as an external hard drive to your computer. In this case, you will have the opportunity to recover all the information from the disk to any other drive using DiskInternals Partition Recovery.

The application works through deep scanning of each section of the disk. In addition, it scans the file system and repairs it for data recovery. Preview is available both in the free version and in the paid license version, which gives you many privileges.

And here's how to use this wonderful application:

As soon as you install DiskInternals Partition Recovery on your computer, connect an external hard drive to it.

Partition Recovery Install windows.

Next, open the application and run the Recovery Wizard. It will help you choose the right drive and the desired file formats to search.

Partition Recovery - select the ps4 hard disk.

Next is the mode: full or fast recovery, reader mode. You can also use the read function to simply view the contents of the disk.

Partition Recovery - select the scanning mode.

As soon as the results appear on your screen, start a free preview.

Partition Recovery - preview files content on ps4.

Data export can only be done after buying a license.

Method 3. Initialization

As soon as the controller is connected to the console, press and hold the Power button for the signal. The select Initialize PS4 in safe mode. Please note that this may damage the data on the disk, so make a backup copy or restore it first (see Method 1).

Method 4. Replacement

You can replace a disk if it seems to be damaged, or if the "cannot start the PS4" error keeps appearing.

First, you need to take care of the hard drive data (games, programs, applications, etc.) and copy them to another reliable drive of sufficient size. To do this, connect the USB flash drive to the console. Now select Options, and then go to the System section. Next, click Backup and switch to "Copy to external device".

Now you can start replacing the disk. You should be aware that this will require 2.5-inch internal type internal hard drives and serial ATA.

After the disk replacement is completed, connect the USB flash drive with the data backup to the console and move all the data back.

You can continue to play on your old account and not be afraid that the "cannot start PS4" error will return.
